Individual Volunteers

Individual volunteers provide a variety of services throughout the state parks system. Individuals and couples may perform maintenance projects such as recycling, tree trimming, and lawn mowing. They may also provide assistance in the office or in specialized areas such as interpretation, stewardship, or historic research.

Many individuals provide services around their busy schedules by giving a few hours each week or month to their local state park. Volunteers who stay in the park have the same requirements and receive the same benefits as hosts.

For more information, view the volunteer brochure or contact your nearest state park, region office, or the Volunteer Programs Office. Also take a look at the individual volunteer application and the individual volunteer time sheet.
