Located 23 miles southeast of Washtucna, Wash.

From SR 261: Drive 13.5 miles west of Starbuck, or 14.4 miles southwest of the SR 261 and SR 260 junction and take Palouse Falls Rd. east.
Features: 200' falls in canyon created by ice age floods Accessible parking next to blacktop trail to the view of falls. Accessible vault toilets are near the tent site.

Located 25 miles northeast of Walla Walla, Wash., in the southeastern corner of the state.

From the tri-cities: Go south on Hwy. 12 and turn left (east) onto Hwy. 124. At Waitsburg, turn right at stop sign and then turn immediately left onto Coppei Ave. At next stop sign, go straight onto Hwy. 12. Continue east 4 1/2 miles to park entrances (day-use on right, and camping on left).

Accessible Hunting
From Pasco, go east on US-12 for 6 miles (cross over Snake River bridge). Take first right onto Hansen Loop Rd and go 3 miles to site. Watch for sign and registration booth on right. Exact driving directions can be obtained from the refuge.
Features: Accessible duck blind on Peninsula.
Other Info: Managed by McNary National Wildlife Refuge. Locked gate. Call above number for information and reservations. Lots of competion for blinds in this area during weekends. Blind can be accessed by boaters. too.

Accessible Hunting
Follow SR-12 east from Pasco for about 6 miles until you cross the Snake River Bridge. Go past SR-124 (to Walla Walla-Waitsburg), turn left on Maple Street and follow it to the Refuge office.
Features: Duck blind.
Other Info: Reservation required. Contact Mid Columbia River National Refuge Complex at above number for more info.

7    Wooten Wildlife Area (WDFW)

From Pomeroy, go west for about 5 miles on US 12 to Oliphant Rd. Go south on Oliphant, and turn left onto Tucannon Rd. Continue on this road to wildlife area.
Features: Viewing of wild turkey, deer, elk and bighorn sheep, song birds, and wildflowers. Bankside fishing platform at Rainbow Lake.
Other Info: Area spans nearly 12,000 acres along the Tucannon River. Limited turnaround in some areas and parking lots, not recommended for larger vehicles.

(see #7 above) Continue on Tucannon Road for about 10 miles past Wooten Wildlife Area.
Features: Located on the Tucannon River in the Blue Mountains, this ELC offers hiking on forested and mountain trails, canoeing on Donnie Lake and swimming in an indoor pool. Mess hall.

From Asotin, go south on Snake River Rd for 26 miles. Turn south (left) on Joseph Creek Rd. Various units to left and right.
Features: Undeveloped natural area featuring elk, deer, bighorn sheep, birds, and fish.
Other Info: The wildlife area is listed and signed for the watchable wildlife program. Seasonal wildlife viewing from vehicle.
