From Purdy, go west on SR-302. Turn left onto Creviston Dr. Go past Home, and turn left onto Delano Rd S. Follow signs to site.
Features: Gravel parking and boat launch.

From Tacoma:
Take Hwy. 16 to Purdy exit. Turn left onto Key Peninsula Hwy., approximately 15 miles. Turn right on Whiteman Rd., approximately four miles. Turn right on Bay Rd., approximately one mile. Stay on asphalt into park.

Dash Point Pier (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
From I-5 in Federal Way, take Exit 143. Head west on 320th to SR-99. Turn right on SR-99 and go to SR-509 (SW Dash Point Rd). Turn left and follow SR-509 about 1 mile past Dash Point State Park. Turn right on Markham Rd and follow to pier (next to lobster shop).

Les Davis Pier (WDFW)

Driving along I-5 in Tacoma, take I-705 exit towards downtown Tacoma and Schuster Parkway. Continue on Schuster Parkway to the Ruston Way exit and follow it to the waterfront. The pier is on right.

Fox Island Pier (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
From I-5 in Tacoma, take SR 16 west towards Gig Harbor. Go over the Narrows Bridge and take the Fox Island exit. Follow roads towards Fox Island and cross bridge. Stay left after bridge and follow Island Blvd about 2.5 miles to the intersection with 9th Ave. Turn right on 9th Ave and go about 1 block. Turn left on Kamus Drive. Continue until the "Y" and turn right on Mowitsh Dr. Turn right on 14th Ave and go to the end of the road. (The pier is across the bay from Day Island marina.)
Features: Seasonal salmon fishing in Puget Sound.
Steep bank to pier is traversed by a long, switchbacking route with handrails. Some grades to 8%. Level resting landings are present.Other Info: Managed by Pierce County Parks.
The pier is located high above the water and a long net or retrieval method is required to land fish. Limited turnaround for larger vehicles at end of road.Updated: 12/2/2003

South Puget Sound Wildlife Area (WDFW)
From Tacoma, go south on I-5 to Bridgeport Way exit. Go west on Bridgeport Way and turn left onto Steilacoom Blvd. Turn right onto Phillips Rd to wildlife area on the right. (7723 Phillips Rd SW.)
Features: Former phesant farm now managed as an urban wildlife interpretive center.

American Lake (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
From Tacoma, go south on I-5 to Exit 122, Tillicum. Go west on Berkley St SW for 0.4 mile. Turn south on Portland St. for 0.2 mile to the Access Area.
Features: Flat, gravel surfaces and some blacktop. Two-lane boat launch. Some bank fishing with slight slope.
Other Info: Rainbow trout, kokanee, perch, catfish, rock bass, cutthroat. Two county parks and a private resort are nearby.

Luhr's Landing (WDFW)

North of Olympia, take Exit 111 from I-5 at Marvin Rd. Turn south and travel 0.7 mile. Turn left onto Martin Way and proceed east 1.1 miles. Turn north on Meridian Rd, go 2.5 miles. Turn right on 46th Ave, then left onto D'Milluhr Rd. Stay right to access at end of road.
Features: Crushed rock parking area, sloped path to toilet.
Fishing pier. Other Info: Chum and coho salmon, winter steelhead, whitefish and cutthroat. See current fishing rules.
Non-profit Nisqually Reach Nature Center is open 3 days per week, offering interpretation of the Reach and general Puget Sound biology. Updated: 9/9/2002

Nisqually River (WDFW)
Public Fishing Area
North of Olympia on I-5, take exit 114. On Nisqually Cutoff Rd, go east 1.2 miles to Kuhlman Rd SE. Go southeast 0.4 mile to Old Pacific Highway. Turn north and drive 0.3 mile to 6th Ave SE, then east 0.4 mile to site.
Features: Asphalt parking and level area to fish from. A concrete bulkhead with railing form a high bank fishing opportunity. Other Info: See current fishing rules.
A long handled net or assistance is needed to land fish as the river bank next to the concrete changes from year to year. Limited turnaround for larger vehicles.Updated: 12/2/2003

McAllister Creek Hatchery (WDFW)
From Olympia, go north on I-5 to exit 111. Turn right at light, and drive about 0.5 mile. Turn left onto Steilacoom Rd. Hatchery is about 1 mile, on right.
Features: View fall chinook spawning.

Tumwater Falls Hatchery (WDFW)
Fish Viewing
From Olympia, go north on I-5 to exit 103 (2nd Ave). At the stop sign, go straight, then turn left onto Custer Way. Turn right at Boston St. At the stop sign turn left onto Deschutes Way. Turn left at the sign into Tumwater Falls Park.
Features: View spawning salmon in the fall.

Chehalis Western Trail and Woodard Bay Conservation Area Trail (DNR)
Go to website.
From I-5 Southbound take exit 105B and merge onto Plum Street.
From I-5 Northbound take exit 105, keep right and right again, to the stop lights on Plum St. Turn left onto Plum street, go 6 mi (becomes East Bay Drive then Boston Harbor Road). Bear right on to Woodard Bay Rd for 1 mi, road turns left but Woodard Bay Rd continues to the right immediately at end of turn, continue for 0.8 mi. across causeway and around corner. Parking for Chehalis Western Trail is on the left.
Features: To the left of the toilet is entrance to the Woodard Bay Conservation Area Trail, a .5 mi compacted gravel trail leading along the old railroad grade to an observation platform over looking Woodard Bay.
At far end of parking lot is the entrance to the Chehalis Western Trail, a 5.3 mi asphalt trail following the railroad grade all the way to Lacey.
Grades are long, but mostly less than 5%; in a couple instances, grades are a little in excess of 5%. Other Info: There is approximately 4 miles of horse trail along side the paved trail.

From exit 102 on I-5, go west on Trosper Rd (54th Ave SW) for 2.6 miles. Turn south on Belmore-Black Lake Rd and go 1 mile. Turn west on 66th Ave SW and go 0.2 mile. Turn south on Fairview St SW and go 0.4 mile to site.
Features: Crushed rock parking and bank, paved launch.
Other Info: Fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, largemouth bass, perch, crappie, and bullhead.

Scatter Creek I - South Unit (WDFW)
Wildlife Area
From Olympia, go south on I-5 to exit 95. At end of offramp, turn left then another quick left onto Case Rd. Go 5.2 miles on Case Rd, then turn right on 180th Ave. 0.4 mile to parking area.
Features: Flat, gravel parking area. Pheasant release site. Field trials area with rare prairie and oak habitat.

Scatter Creek II - North Unit (WDFW)

From Olympia, go south on I-5. Take Exit 95 toward Littlerock. Turn left onto Case Rd, follow to parking areas on left at 4 and 4.4 miles.
Features: Field trial area. Gravel parking.

From Littlerock go west 0.8 mi. turn right onto Waddell Creek Road, continue on Waddell Creek Rd approx. 4 mi. to intersection with Noschka Rd. Turn left on Noschka Rd. Go about 1.5 mi. Turn left (W) on C-line Rd and follow for 3.3 mi. Turn Left onto C-6000 Rd for 2.4 mi. Site is on right.
Features: The horse watering trough is in the rebuilt section of the camp, about 300 feet up the road.
Bring your own water.Other Info: Hikers, horses and mountain bikes allowed on 80 miles of non-motorized trail.

From Tenino, go east for 3.1 miles on SR-507. Turn north on Old Military Rd. Go 0.7 mile to the McIntosh Lake Access Area on right.
Features: Level, grassy parking area. Gravel bank. Paved, 2-lane launch ramp.
Other Info: Rainbow trout, yellow perch, largemouth bass.

From Puyallup, go south on SR 161 for about 22 miles. Turn north onto Oroville Rd. Drive 0.7 mile to access area.
Features: Gravel and paved parking area.

From Elbe, go E on SR 706 for 6.3 mi. Turn L on Stoner Rd. Keep right for 2.3 mi to second intersection. Take left fork for 4.2 mi to gated rd on left. Turn left and go 1.6 mi to trailhead.

Voight's Creek Hatchery (WDFW)
From Puyallup, go east on SR 512. Take exit towards SR 410, then next exit south. Follow SR 162 about 2 miles past Orting to site on left.
Features: Two 3/4 acre rearing ponds, 10 raceways, adult holding pond for coho and chinook salmon.
Other Info: Very popular site to view spawning.

Start in Littlerock, go West for 0.8 mi. Turn left onto Mima Road, go 1.3 mi. Turn right onto Bordeaux Road, go 0.7 mi. Turn right onto Marksman Road for 0.9 mi, then bear left for 0.2 mi to site on left. Road continues 0.2 miles to Mima Falls Campground.
Features: Access to 80 miles of non-motorized multiple use trails.

From US-101 west of Olympia, take SR-8 about 5.5 miles to Summit Lake Road. Proceed northwest on this for 1.9 miles, then turn right (east). Access is 0.4 mile, on left.
Features: 2 designated, paved parking spaces in gravel lot. Concrete launch ramp.
