Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations

The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper disposal.

In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.

A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience, on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also are available.

 Pumpout Facility Information
Elochoman Slough Marina is a public marina with an accessible pumpout.  The Pumpout is opened March thru October.  Hours of operations are 9am to 5pm or other times by prior notification.  There is a floating dock available year around.  There is a fee for using this pumpout.  You will encounter a Keco "Pump-A-Head" pumpout at this facility.  A slip is available for pumpout usage.  Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 50 feet.  There is a stationary pumpout.  The stationary pumpout is located at the base of E dock.  This facility has a Porta-Potty dump station.  The porta Potty dumpstation is located next to the pumpout on E dock.  

 Marine Services
Gasoline and diesel fuel can be purchased on site.  There is a boat launch available for a fee.  Over night moorage is available for a fee.  The guest dock is 1040 feet in length.  There are 200 guest moorage slips available.  The total estimated guest boat capacity is 250.  Electrical hook up is available for a fee.  Electrical power is available in 30 & 50 amps.  It has been reported the minimum depth at mean low tide is 10 feet.  

 Day Use/Campground Accommodations
This facility offers over night amenities.  There are campsites available for over night stays for a fee.  Campsite fires are allowed.  There are tent sites on the grass, and RV sites with electric and water.  Showers are available for a fee.  This facility also offers day use amenities.  A picnic shelter is available.  There are picnic tables available.  Barbeque pits are also present.
