Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations
The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage
discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment
and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and
private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and
maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also
provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper
disposal.
In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from
contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.
A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies
of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington
offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts
that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience,
on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also
are available.

Pumpout Facility Information
Port of Kennewick Clover Island Marina is a public marina with an accessible pumpout. Open from the end of March through the end of October or November depending on when the weather starts freezing, 24 hours a day n/a You will encounter a Keco pumpout at this facility. A slip is available for pumpout usage. Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 60 feet. There is a stationary pumpout. The stationary pumpout is located on the fuel dock. There is a portable pumpout. The portable pumpout is located on the fuel dock.
Marine Services
Gasoline and diesel fuel can be purchased on site. There is a boat launch available. The facility offers a boat haul out. Over night moorage is available for a fee. The guest dock is 240 feet in length. There are 150 guest moorage slips available. The total estimated guest boat capacity is 30. Electrical hook up is available for a fee. Electrical power is available in 30 amps. It has been reported the minimum depth at mean low tide is 14 feet.
