Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations

The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper disposal.

In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.

A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience, on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also are available.

 Pumpout Facility Information
Kettle Falls Marina is a private marina with a public accessible pumpout.  Open from June through the end of October.  Open 8am-6pm Monday through Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 8am-7pm.  This facility has a floating dock available year around.  The facility has a full service pumpout.  You will encounter a Keco pumpout at this facility.  A slip is available for pumpout usage.  Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 64 feet.  The pumpout is located on a barge.  There is a stationary pumpout.  The stationary pumpout is located at the marina.  There is a portable pumpout.  The portable pumpout is located on the service dock.  This facility has a Porta-Potty dump station.  The porta potty dump station is located at the service dock.  

 Marine Services
Gasoline can be purchased on site.  There is a boat launch available for a fee.  Over night moorage is available for a fee.  The guest dock is 24 feet in length.  There are 65 guest moorage slips available.  The total estimated guest boat capacity is 5.  There are 6 moorage buoys available.  Electrical hook up is available for a fee.  Electrical power is available in 30 amps..  

 Day Use/Campground Accommodations
This facility offers over night amenities.  There are campsites available for over night stays for a fee.  Campsite fires are allowed.  Tent/Trailer Sites  This facility also offers day use amenities.  There are picnic tables available.  Barbeque pits are also present.
