Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations

The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper disposal.

In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.

A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience, on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also are available.

    The facility is within Skamania County.  


Driving Directions:
    From Seattle: Take I-5 South to Vancouver. Just North of Vancouver take I-205 south. Follow I-205 South to the Hwy-14 exit (last exit crossing the Columbia River into Oregon). Follow Hwy-14 East. Beacon Rock and the Park Entrance are located at Mile post 35. From Portland: Take I-84 Eastbound along the Columbia River to Cascade Locks. At Cascade Locks, cross the Columbia River into Washington on the Bridge of the God toll bridge. Turn left onto Hwy. 14. Follow Hwy. 14 West for seven miles to Beacon Rock. To Moorage area: Turn South at mile post 34 on Doetsch Ranch Rd., follow the signs to the boat launch.

 Pumpout Facility Information
Beacon Rock State Park is a public marina with an accessible pumpout.  The Facility is open from May to October.  Hours of operations are from Dawn to Dusk.  There is a floating dock available year around.  You will encounter a Sani Sailor pumpout at this facility.  A slip is available for pumpout usage.  Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 65 feet.  There is a stationary pumpout.  The stationary pumpout is located on the moorage dock.  

 Marine Services
There is a boat launch available for a fee.  Over night moorage is available for a fee.  The guest dock is 600 feet in length.  The total estimated guest boat capacity is 15.  Electrical hook up is available for a fee.  Electrical power is available.  It has been reported the minimum depth at mean low tide is 18 feet.  

 Day Use/Campground Accommodations
This facility offers over night amenities.  There are campsites available for over night stays for a fee.  Campsite fires are allowed.  Drive-in; $21.00 per night  Showers are available for a fee.  This facility also offers day use amenities.  There are 2 picnic shelters available for a fee.  There are picnic tables available.  Barbeque pits are also present.
