Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations
The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage
discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment
and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and
private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and
maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also
provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper
disposal.
In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from
contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.
A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies
of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington
offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts
that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience,
on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also
are available.

Pumpout Facility Information
City of Chelan - Lake Chelan Marina is a public marina with an accessible pumpout. June through September 7 am - 7 pm left in year around A slip is available for pumpout usage. Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 30 feet. There is a stationary pumpout. on dock at the end of the boat launch
Marine Services
There is a boat launch available for a fee. Over night moorage is available for a fee. The guest dock is 30 feet in length. There are 63 guest moorage slips available. The total estimated guest boat capacity is 63. Electrical hook up is available for a fee. Electrical power is available in 30.
Day Use/Campground Accommodations
This facility offers over night amenities. There are campsites available for over night stays for a fee. RV parking with 16'x16' tent pads and water, sewer, electricity and cable Showers are available for a fee. This facility also offers day use amenities. There are 2 picnic shelters available for a fee. There are picnic tables available.
