Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations

The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper disposal.

In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.

A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience, on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also are available.

    Located on Strait of Georgia , in Drayton Harbor.
    The facility is within Whatcom County.  


Driving Directions:
    Traveling north on I-5 take exit 270 and turn left (west) onto Birch Bay-Lynden Road. Turn right onto Harborview Road and then left on Lincoln Road which merges into Semiahmoo Parkway, and leads you directly to the marina. From Vancouver, BC take exit 270 and turn right onto Birch Bay-Lynden Road. Turn right onto Harborview Road and then left on Lincoln Road which merges into Semiahmoo Parkway. Semiahmoo Parkway will lead you directly to the marina.

 Pumpout Facility Information
Semiahmoo Marina is a private marina with a public accessible pumpout.  This facility is open year around,  24 hours a day all week.  Floating dock stays in year around.  The facility has a full service pumpout.  You will encounter a Keco "Pump-A-Head" pumpout at this facility.  There are 300 slips available for pumpout usage.  Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 100 feet.  There is a stationary pumpout.  The stationary pumput is located on the fuel dock.  There are 2 portable pumpouts.  The portable pumpouts are located at the bottom of Main Ramp.  

 Marine Services
Gasoline and diesel fuel can be purchased on site.  Over night moorage is available for a fee.  There are 307 guest moorage slips available.  The total estimated guest boat capacity is 300.  Electrical hook up is available for a fee.  Electrical power is available in 30 and 50 amps.  It has been reported the minimum depth at mean low tide is 8 feet.  

 Day Use/Campground Accommodations
This facility offers over night amenities.  Showers are available.  This facility also offers day use amenities.  There are picnic tables available.  The facility has a pay telephone available.
