Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations

The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper disposal.

In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.

A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience, on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also are available.

 Pumpout Facility Information
Tyee Marina is a private marina with a public accessible pumpout.  This facility is open year around.  Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, from 10am to 4:30pm.  The facility has a full service pumpout.  You will encounter a Keco "Pump-A-Head" pumpout at this facility.  There are 2 slips available for pumpout usage.  Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 65 feet.  There are 2 stationary pumpouts.  The stationary pumpouts are located at each end of the marina .  There are 2 Porta-Potty Dumpstations.  The Porta Potty dumpstations are located by the pumpout.

Electrical hook up is available for a fee.  Electrical power is available in 20, 30, and 50 amps.  

 Day Use/Campground Accommodations
This facility offers over night amenities.  Showers are available.
