Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations

The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper disposal.

In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.

A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience, on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also are available.

    From Hwy 16, exit onto Hwy 3 to Belfair and Shelton, continue just past Belfair and exit at State Route 106 towards Twanoh State Park, Alderbrook is located 13 miles ahead.

 Pumpout Facility Information
This facility is open year around,  call for an appointment.  Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 85 feet.  There are 3 stationary pumpouts.  The stationary Pumpouts are located on outer length of dock, East end.  A restroom is located near the pumpout.  

 Marine Services
Over night moorage is available for a fee.  The total estimated guest boat capacity is 1500.  Electrical hook up is available for a fee.  Electrical power is available in 30 and 50 amps.  

 Day Use/Campground Accommodations
This facility offers over night amenities.  Showers are available.  This facility also offers day use amenities.  Barbeque pits are also present.
