Clean Vessel Program and Pumpout Locations
The federal Clean Vessel Act provides funds to help reduce pollution from vessel sewage
discharges into U.S. waters. These funds come from taxes on the sales of fishing equipment
and on recreational boating fuel. Washington State Parks makes grants to both public and
private sector boating facility operators for the construction, renovation, operation and
maintenance of pumpout and dump stations for use by recreational boaters. The program also
provides boater education to promote public awareness about boat sewage and its proper
disposal.
In 2011, Washington boaters prevented 4,093,514 gallons of sewage from
contaminating Washington's waters by using Clean Vessel Act pumpout facilities.
A clean marine environment is very important for everyone to enjoy the beautiful bodies
of water throughout Washington. Boaters can help keep Washington's waterways clean. Washington
offers more than 150 disposal facilities with a variety of stationary and portable pumpouts
that provide a convenient way to properly dispose of boat sewage. For additional convenience,
on-the-water restrooms and pumpout skiffs that can service boats right in their slips also
are available.

Driving Directions: From Northbound I-5 take Exit 105, follow Port of Olympia signs on Henderson Blvd to Plum Street. Left on Plum St. Go through 5 traffic lights, pass State Avenue and turn left onto Olympia Ave just past the Shell Gas Station. Stay right on Olympia Ave past Swantown Boatworks then right again onto Marine Drive to the marina office on your right.
From Southbound I-5 take exit 105B, stay right and follow Port of Olympia signs to Plum Street. Go through 6 lights then follow the same directions as above

Port of Olympia - Swantown Marina is a public marina with an accessible pumpout. open year around, 24/7. floating dock available year around. The facility has a full service pumpout. You will encounter a EMP Sanisailor pumpout at this facility. There are 4 slips available for pumpout usage. Access to this pumpout is limited to vessels with a length of no more than 100 feet. There is a stationary pumpout. at the end of "A" dock (guest dock) This facility has a Porta-Potty dump station. next to the pumpout at the end of "A" dock.
Marine Services
There is a boat launch available for a fee. The facility offers a boat haul out and marine repair services are available on the premises. Over night moorage is available for a fee. The guest dock is 700 feet in length. There are 733 guest moorage slips available. The total estimated guest boat capacity is 750. Electrical hook up is available. Electrical power is available in 20, 30 and 50 amps. It has been reported the minimum depth at mean low tide is 10 feet.
Day Use/Campground Accommodations
This facility offers over night amenities. This facility offers overnight trailer parking, for a fee. No overnight camping. Showers are available for a fee. This facility also offers day use amenities. There are picnic tables available. Barbeque pits are also present. The facility has a pay telephone available.
