You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.   3. Lake Washington Saddle Club - Trail Training and Obstacle Day

    July 15, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

    Obstacle training develops calmness, balance, responsiveness to aides, and trust between horse and rider, using objects and terrain found/encountered on the trail and in the "real world". It carries over to any type of riding in all disciplines, and is beneficial for horses and riders at any age and stage of training. A variety of "interesting" objects and challenges will be set up around the arena, and you will be free to experiment with and experience them at your own pace in a safe and supervised environment. Barrels, poles and flags will be set up in the big arena for 1 hour each for gaming practice.

  4. Forest Nature Walks

    July 18, 10:00 AM - July 19, 1:00 PM @ Bridle Trails State Park

    July 18 and September 12th - Learn about the natural history, plants, and animals of this exceptional forested natural area, how biological diversity in forests develops over time, and how we are dealing with the threat of invasive plants to urban forests.   5. Lake Washington Saddle Club - Dressage Events

    July 19, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

    Join us for a relaxed schooling show, judged by top-level local certified dressage judges. All test levels are welcome in any USEF/USDF approved dressage test including Eventing, Musical Freestyle, Gaited, Para-Equestrian and Western Dressage

  7. Horses and Hops

    July 25, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Bridle Trails State Park

    Lake Washington Saddle Club and Bridle Trails Park Foundation are CELEBRATING OUR EQUINE COMMUNITY with a unique PRIZE RIDE through gorgeous Bridle Trails State Park. We'll gather at the show grounds arena for instructions and set out on a prize bound adventure promptly at 3:00 PM. We'll stagger our starts to limit horse congestion and maximize human enjoyment. Upon completion of the ride, we'll celebrate with local "hops" (from Thirsty Hop) and root beer for the humans, as well as water and carrots for the horses.

  8. Cascade Horse Show Hunter/Jumper

    July 30, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Bridle Trails State Park

    A 3 day USEF Regional 1 rated hunter/jumper horse show plus 1 day of set up while horses arrive and move into the stalls and schooling in the arenas for horses coming to the show from 12-5 on 7/30. Discover Pass Required
