You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     August 8th - Learn about the natural history of the park from a popular field trip leader and a local authority. Learn how to identify plants, possibly see some rare and unusual species, and discuss problems that urban forests face with invasive species. Meet in the main parking lot.     Join us for a relaxed schooling show, judged by top-level local certified dressage judges. All test levels are welcome in any USEF/USDF approved dressage test including Eventing, Musical Freestyle, Gaited, Para-Equestrian and Western Dressage

    August 20, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Bridle Trails State Park

    Featuring great bluegrass music outdoors in the park by the Blue Smoke Bluegrass Band and delicious barbecue from Big House BBQ. Reservations for food in advance. BBQ served at 6:00. Music starts at 7:00.

  4. Storytelling and S'mores

    August 22, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Bridle Trails State Park

    Bring your young children for an evening of stories by professional storyteller Margaret Read MacDonald. Margaret breathes life into traditional folktales, sharing them in exciting performances. She engages the audience in singing, chanting, and moving in what she calls "story play." Both young and old find enjoyment in playing along with these folktales. Listen to wonderful stories by Margaret, roast marshmallows over an open fire, and construct some tasty s'mores.
