Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     Ranger Dan will be doing interpretive programs every week at 4:00 PM. Come celebrate the birthday of Smokey Bear- who turns 71 this year! Join park staff for fire safety fun and activities.

State Park Free Days

  1. State Parks Free Day

    August 25, All Day @ All Washington state parks.

    In honor of National Park Service's birthday, today is a State Parks “free day” and the Discover Pass is not required to visit a state park. Please note, free days apply only to day use (not overnight stays or rented facilities).

    A Discover Pass is still required to access lands managed by the Washington state departments of Natural Resources and Fish & Wildlife.
