Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.   1. Chocolate on the Beach Festival

    February 28 - March 1 @ Town of Pacific Beach

    This is a fun, family festival offering something for every chocolate lover! You can attend a cooking class or enter your favorite recipe in the recipe contest. How about entering an eating contest ? You can do this and so much more. Attendees will find chocolate that is gluten free, dairy free, vegan, organic, fair trade, raw and even healthy treats for your furry friends.

    The festival stretches for miles at various restaurants & locations. The State Parks booth is at the Pacific Beach Elementary school. Eager Beaver will be there both days.

  2. Beachcombers Fun Fair

    March 7 - March 8 @ Ocean Shores Convention Center

    On Friday, everyone is invited to enter their beachcombed treasures for exhibit in 44 different categories. There is no entry fee and ribbons will be awarded. Scientists and knowledgeable speakers will present seminars on a variety of topics Saturday and Sunday. Browsing among the information booths and talking with specialists intrigues others. A Saturday morning Explore the Shores is designed especially for children, but somehow adults get interested too. Vendors sell many interesting beach-related items. Sunday morning you can participate in a guided beach walk or help with a beach clean-up called Dash for Trash or Treasure. It’s fun and educational !

    Eager Beaver will be putting in an appearance on Saturday.
