Environmental Learning Centers

Camp Delany

Spacious and comfortable, these lodges with clustered cabins and other rustic facilities offer groups the opportunity to get away from it all in an outdoor, natural environment. Youth groups, retreats and family or business gatherings of 15 to 260 people can find accommodations in a camp setting at environmental learning centers in 10 state parks. (Fees listed under each facility are subject to change.)

 Camp Moran at Moran State Park

Camp Moran

Situated near Mount Constitution on a forested island in the San Juans, Camp Moran provides opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, fishing and swimming.
Park Location: Near Eastsound on Orcas Island.
Capacity: 144 people.
Availability: Year round.
Accommodations: Rustic main lodge with wood-burning stove and commercial-sized kitchen; three duplexes sleep 28 each with attached restrooms and showers; one cabin sleeps four with attached restroom and shower; two A-frames sleep eight each; four cabins sleep 10 each; restrooms and showers nearby.
Features: Kitchen utensils and dishes; beds or cots; tables and chairs; cleaning supplies; paper towels and toilet paper.

Activities: 30 miles of hiking trails, including a trail to top of Mount Constitution; private beach and dock for fishing; outdoor amphitheater with fire circle and covered shelter with gas barbecue; volleyball and basketball areas. Moran Outdoor School Programs are offered during spring and fall.

 Cornet Bay at Deception Pass State Park

Cornet Bay Set on a saltwater bay with freshwater lakes nearby, Cornet Bay offers access to hiking trails and fresh water lakes.
Park Location: Near Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island
Capacity: 181 people.
Availability: March through October
Accommodations: Lodge and recreation hall with fully equipped kitchen; 14 cabins sleep 10 each; one cabin sleeps four and one cabin sleeps nine; duplex sleeps 28; amphitheater for group gatherings; restrooms and showers nearby; ADA access.

 Fort Flagler State Park

Fort Flagler

Set on a high bluff above the Puget Sound, Fort Flagler presents visitors with opportunities for clamming, hiking and exploring the fort's barracks.
Park Location: Near Port Hadlock.
Capacity: 273 people in three separate arrangements:
Camp Hoskins, occupancy of 180.
Camp Richmond, occupancy of 52.
Camp Wilson, occupancy of 15 to 41.
Availability: Year round.
Accommodations: Camp Hoskins has three dorms, kitchen, dining hall, restrooms and showers and theater. Camp Richmond features a dorm, kitchen, dining area, restrooms and showers. Camp Wilson offers bunks, small kitchen, restroom and showers. Fort Flagler's Recreation Hall also is available for meetings and includes a small kitchen, restrooms and space for up to 100 guests (day-use fees apply).

 Ramblewood at Sequim Bay State Park

Situated on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, this center features fishing, beach combing and hiking.
Ramblewood Park Location: Near Sequim.
Capacity: 66 people.
Availability: Year round.
Accommodations: Wood lodge with fully equipped kitchen and fireplace; sleeping loft for eight; four Adirondack (three-sided) sleeping shelters, each sleep eight; three heated cabins sleep eight or nine each; outdoor fire circle for activities.
Features: Kitchen utensils and dishes; beds or cots; tables and chairs; cleaning supplies; paper towels and toilet paper.

 Camp Delany at Sun Lakes State Park

Camp Delany Near a pristine chain of lakes, freshwater marshes and magnificent basalt rock formations, Camp Delany features hiking, fishing, swimming, water skiing and golfing.
Park Location: Near Coulee City.
Capacity: 76 people
Availability: Spring through late fall.
Accommodations: Eight heated, air-conditioned cabins sleep 9 each, plus staff cabin sleeps four; commercial-style kitchen and dining area.
Features: Kitchen utensils and dishes; beds or cots; tables and chairs; cleaning supplies; paper towels and toilet paper.

 Millersylvania State Park

Millersylvania

Rested under tall trees along the shores of Deep Lake, this center offers boating, fishing, swimming and hiking.
Park Location: Near Tumwater.
Capacity: 150 people
Availability: Year round.
Accommodations: Dining hall with fully equipped kitchen; 16 heated cabins with eight beds each; three staff cabins with six beds each; sheltered outdoor classroom; amphitheater for activities; restrooms and showers nearby; ADA access.
Features: Kitchen utensils and dishes; beds or cots; tables and chairs; cleaning supplies; paper towels and toilet paper.

 Camp Wooten ELC

Camp Wooten

Located on the Tucannon River in the Blue Mountains, this center offers hiking on forested and mountain trails, canoeing on Donnie Lake and swimming in an indoor pool.
Park Location: Near Pomeroy
Availability: Spring through fall.
Capacity: 200 people.
Accommodations: 1930s era dining hall with fully equipped modern kitchen, freezers and walk-in cooler; 17 cabins each sleep 11; three cabins sleep six each; one cabin sleeps four; cedar meeting hall with fireplace; several outdoor shelters; restrooms and showers nearby; ADA access.

 Lewis and Clark State Park

Lewis and Clark

Surrounded by old growth Douglas-fir trees, Lewis and Clark features hiking, biking and riding on five miles of equestrian trails.
Park Location: Near Chehalis.
Capacity: 24 people.
Availability: Year round
Accommodations: Lodge with fully equipped kitchen, wood stove, and bunkroom for 24; large area adjacent to lodge with room for ten RVs (no hookups) or tents increases occupancy up to 50 people; restrooms and showers.

 Puffer Butte at Fields Spring State Park

Remotely located at an elevation of 4,500 feet in the Blue Mountains, Puffer Butte offers opportunities for hiking, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
Park Location: Near Anatone.
Capacity: 80 people.
Availability: Year round
Accommodations: A log lodge that is accessible to people with disabilities; the lodge has a fully equipped kitchen, gathering room with fireplace, nearby restrooms and showers; lodge sleeping accommodations for 24; six adjacent cabins accommodate up to 56 overnight guests; outdoor amphitheater with fire pit; picnic tables.

Nestled in a forested mountain setting, this center offers trails and fishing in the Upper Satus River.
