Fort Worden State Park and Conference Center offers a variety of rooms and buildings to accommodate many types of events. Fort Worden is a delightful place to gather with business associates or other people with shared interests.

This picturesque building is ideally suited for weddings, presentations, films, lectures and workshops with a maximum capacity of 180. The building features tall windows, hard wood floors, a carpeted entry and platform.

The Wheeler Theater is a wonderful space for speeches, presentations, lectures or small productions. It has sloped theater seating, an audio system and lighting that will wash the stage. Seating capacity is 275. The stage is approximately 30 feet wide by 15 feet deep with a screen that is 12 feet by 16 feet.

Fort Worden’s largest venue is a refurbished balloon hangar that has been transformed into a performance theater with a capacity of 880 fixed seating, or 1200 with seating on the main floor. An adjacent building may be used as a ticket office for large events.

This 1908 building was the Post Headquarters and now serves as the park’s office. The second floor has two rooms that provide comfortable meeting spaces for 20 to 30 people in the Blue Room and 10 to 15 people in the Matheson Room.

This wonderfully restored soldiers’ barracks boasts four wings of meeting room spaces. The building has full restroom facilities and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The two upstairs wings have rich hardwood floors; all windows have room-darkening shades.

Fort Worden’s newest addition, this nearly 20,000 square foot building has four meeting and dining spaces. Wall panels can be used to make separate, sound-proof rooms, or left open for a variety of room configurations. The building complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Once used as a recreational hall during World War II, this building has been renovated to accommodate up to 200 people. There is a stage and flexible floor space that can be set for trainings, lectures, workshops and presentations. The building complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and has limited parking spaces.

The seminar building once was a band building for young adults, but now provides a more intimate meeting space. It has a flexible meeting area that is suitable for small group meeting, workshops and lectures. The building complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Once used as a hospital and then a schoolhouse, it is Fort Worden’s largest building. There are 10 rooms ranging in capacity from 12 to 72 people. Many large workshops have used the schoolhouse as their hub of activities.
The Warehouse once served as the commissary for the fort, and now is an ideal spot for a break-out session for conferences.

The gymnasium has a regulation, old-style court with wood floors. There are two spacious rooms on the main floor that may be used as meeting spaces. This is a great place to have fitness training workshops or team-building exercises.

The USO Hall is one of the most flexible meeting areas. This building has one of our largest rooms that is great for training large groups of people or for lectures, workshops, receptions or dances. The floor is carpeted with a linoleum center floor and a raised stage.

Situated on the beach, the kitchen shelter has the best view in the park of Admiralty Inlet and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It is used for informal gatherings after a long day of meetings, catered meals or an alternative meeting site. The shelter has power, water and kitchen facilities including a refrigerator, stove, oven, warming trays, sink and a wood-burning stove. An outdoor barbecue and fire pit also are available.
