Anderson Lake
• Lake closure: Anderson Lake is closed to all water related activities including fishing due to high levels of anatoxin. All people, pets and horses should avoid contact or consumption of lake water. The park is still open for day use.


Bay View
• Please Note: Until further notice, there is no shellfish harvesting at Bay View State Park.


Beacon Rock
Technical rock climbing: The south face of Beacon Rock is open for technical rock climbing July 13 to Jan. 31. The northwest corner is open for climbing year round. The east face is closed for the protection of rare species, cultural and historical resources.


Belfair
• Due to winter storm damage and flooding, Belfair State Park sites 162 and 164-166 will remain closed until further notice.


Blake Island
• Two of the Cascadia Marine Trail sites located in Blake Island State Park have been cleared and are now open. One remaining campsite will remain closed until further notice due to storm damage. All other camping areas are open at this time.

NOTE: Moorage and rafting limits for the buoys at Blake Island State Park have changed. Boats 37’ and longer are no longer allowed on the buoys at the south end of the island. Limits are posted on the buoys.


Bottle Beach

Camano Island
• The trailer dump station is closed for renovation.

CLAM SEASON CLOSED: Due to an unexplained die off of clams in the Port Susan/Saratoga Passage area, Washington State Parks, in cooperation with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, has closed clam season to harvesting until further notice during the clam season at Camano Island State Park. This is a temporary measure to assure recovery of the clam population and future recreational harvest.


Cape Disappointment

Conconully
Metal detecting: By order of the Bureau of Reclamation, this park is closed to metal detecting indefinitely:


Cutts Island
This is a Day Use park only. There is no overnight camping permitted on the island. Fires are not permitted at anytime.


Daroga
• New this season: Camping at Daroga has changed from first-come, first-served to reservation camping. Reservations can be made nine months in advance. The season for reservations this year is May 23-September 15.


Dash Point
Please note: Alcohol is allowed only in the campground, by registered campers of legal age. It is not allowed in any other areas of the park.


Deception Pass
• Cranberry Lake west beach closure: Enterococcus bacteria levels are elevated at the west beach on Cranberry Lake in Deception Pass State Park. Visitors, including young children, the elderly and those with compromised immune systems, are advised to avoid swimming, wading or playing where water could be swallowed or get into the mouth, nose or eyes when at the west beach. The swimming advisory will remain in effect until water quality improves. For more information, contact Island County Public Health at (360) 679-7350.

• Due to maintenance issues there is no moorage at Bowman Bay, Deception Pass State Park. This will be in effect until further notice.

• Cornet Bay Environmental Learning Center at Deception Pass State Park: Please note there are still reservations available for weekends in June and July as well as midweek in both months. August is completely booked up. The camp can sleep up to 186 people and charges $10.58 per person/per night plus tax. There is a minimum of 80 persons per night. There are two indoor gathering halls with full kitchens, 16 cabins and one duplex. Groups must bring all their own linens including sleeping bags, pillows and towels, and food/drink.


Doe Island
• There is no access to Doe Island until further notice. The pilings and dock were removed due to storm damage.


Dosewallips
• Please be aware: the Dosewallips River is running high, fast and cold Park staff advise avoid entering the river unless you are knowledgeable, prepared and have the capability for self rescue. Water can be deceiving and the current can be deadly.

• Metal detecting is prohibited in Dosewallips State Park.


Doug's Beach
Please note: There is a permanent burn ban in effect at Doug's Beach State Park. No open flames of any type; no smoking allowed; trails and undeveloped areas closed to entry; internal RV stoves are allowed.

Federation Forest
• The Catherine Montgomery Interpretive Center is closed until further notice.


Flaming Geyser
• Flaming Geyser State Park is open to vehicular and foot traffic. The park can accommodate approximately 300 vehicles. Parking rules will be enforced, so visitors must park in authorized areas only. One restroom that is accessible to people with disabilities is open. Portable toilets will be provided throughout the park during the summer months. There is no water available in the park, and the lodge will remain closed. The park will undergo significant construction and upgrades on electrical, water and sewer as soon as environmental permits are obtained. Repairs are expected to take at least two years to complete.

Please note: Alcohol is not permitted at Flaming Geyser State Park. This policy is strictly enforced throughout the park, including picnic shelters.

Model airplane flying hours:
Saturdays and Sundays - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or dusk (whichever is earliest);
Mondays through Thursdays - 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. or dusk (whichever is earliest);
Fridays - 10 a.m. to dusk, for electric or non-powered flight only.


Fort Columbia
• The Fort Columbia Interpretive Center and Commanding Officer's Historic House are closed until further notice.

Fort Simcoe
Please note: Alcohol is not permitted at Fort Simcoe State Park. This policy is strictly enforced throughout the park, including reserved picnic shelters.


Goldendale Observatory
Please note: There is a permanent burn ban in effect at Goldendale Observatory State Park. No open flames of any type are allowed, no smoking. Internal RV stoves are allowed.

Grayland Beach

Hope Island (Mason)
Pets are not allowed on the island.


Ike Kinswa
• Sewer utilities may be unavailable in the main full hook-up camping loop (sites 1 through 41) at Ike Kinswa State Park from April 1 to June 30 due to maintenance work. The trail dump facility is open.


Iron Horse
• Tunnels 48 and 49 are closed for a construction project. They are scheduled to re-open in late June.


Kanaskat-Palmer
• Please note: The local fire station uses a siren to summon volunteer firefighters for duty. The siren may be activated at any hour of the day or night and creates noisy conditions for campers and visitors. State Parks cannot be responsible for this significant intrusion into your camping experience.


Kitsap Memorial
• Sites 1-18 will be open on 5-17-2013. Renovation has reached completion. Special note: Site 1, 2, and 3 have power and water only, sites 4-18 have power, water, and sewer connections.

Shellfish harvesting at Kitsap Memorial State Park is closed until further notice. Clam and oyster populations have declined and are insufficient for harvesting.

The trailer dump at Kitsap Memorial is closed until further notice.


Kopachuck
• Campground closure: Kopachuck State Park is open for day use only. Due to hazardous trees in the forest, the campground area is closed indefinitely.


Lake Easton
• Tunnels 48 and 49 are closed for a construction project. They are scheduled to re-open in late June.

• Metal detecting: By order of the Bureau of Reclamation, this park is closed to metal detecting indefinitely.

• Whittier tunnel will remain closed until mid-spring.


Lake Wenatchee
• For current weather conditions for Lake Wenatchee State Park, visit the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center online.


Larrabee
• Clayton Beach access closed: The access to Clayton Beach is closed until further notice, due to public safety concerns and to stop public trespass on private property. Previous access to the beach via unauthorized use of Burlington Northern Santa Fe property must be discontinued because of inadequate sight lines for pedestrians to see on-coming trains when crossing the rails to access the beach area. State Parks has plans for eventual construction of a rail overpass that will provide safe access to Clayton Beach, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe is in agreement with this plan.

• All shellfish harvesting is closed at Larrabee State Park until further notice.

• Park staff has noticed an increase in raccoon activity at Larrabee State Park. For visitor and wildlife safety, please do not feed raccoons. Keep all food secured in vehicles or in plastic containers with latches and do not leave pet food unattended.


Leadbetter Point

Moran
• Moran State Park is undergoing a forest health project. The park’s primitive campground is closed until further notice.

Please note: There is no potable water at the summit of Mount Constitution. A vending machine is available with bottled water, sports drinks and energy drinks available for purchase. Hikers and bikers should plan accordingly.


Mount Spokane

Obstruction Pass
• Please note: There is no potable water at Obstruction Pass State Park. Please plan accordingly and carry your own water into the campground and beach area. Obstruction Pass is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility, please carry out all trash.


Ocean City
• Some campsites may have standing water due to heavy rains and poor drainage.

Pacific Beach

Pearrygin Lake
• Check Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations for fishing seasons and limits. Specific Pearrygin Lake regulations include the lake's fishing season timeframe, running the last Saturday in April through Sept. 30. Limit of first five fish caught or released, no minimum size. There are no special gear restrictions.

• Water-skiing hours for July and August:
Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday through Monday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Potholes
The fish station has been repaired and is now up and running.

• Metal detecting: By order of the Bureau of Reclamation, this park is closed to metal detecting indefinitely.


Rainbow Falls
Please note: Some bridges along the Willapa Hills Trail are closed until further notice due to extensive flooding damage in Dec. 2007. Please be aware that portions of the trail are inaccessible as a result of these closures.


Rockport
• Campground closure: Rockport State Park is open for day use only. Due to hazardous trees in the old-growth forest, the campground area is closed indefinitely. Camping is available at nearby Rasar State Park.


Sacajawea
• The restroom with the only shower facility is closed. No showers are available at Sacajawea.


Saint Edward
• The Carole Ann Wald Memorial Pool is closed indefinitely.


Saltwater
• Due to resource management concerns, a portion of the lower day-use area of Saltwater State Park is closed to metal detecting until further notice. Please check with park staff prior to metal detecting in the park.

Please note: Alcohol is allowed only in the campground, by registered campers of legal age. It is not allowed in any other areas of the park.

Campfires are not allowed in the park however, charcoal and propane barbecues are permitted.


Scenic Beach
• May – Sept. a bridge construction project will reduce travel to one lane along Miami Beach Road. Travelers to Scenic Beach State Park should expect delays.


Spencer Spit
• Spencer Spit State Park is open, however, is still undergoing a forest health project. Diseased trees were felled the week of May 13. Park staff are working to remove the debris at this time.


Spring Creek Hatchery
Please note: There is a permanent burn ban in effect at Spring Creek Hatchery State Park. No open flames of any type; no smoking allowed; trails and undeveloped areas closed to entry; internal RV stoves are allowed.

Squak Mountain
• The parking lot, southern trailhead and restroom at Squak Mountain State Park are closed until further notice due to a forest health issue. The project is expected to continue into the fall. The Squak Mountain south trailhead is closed indefinitely.


Squilchuck
The sledding hill at Squilchuck State Park is closed for the 2012-13 winter season.


Steamboat Rock
• Metal detecting: By order of the Bureau of Reclamation, the park is closed to metal detecting indefinitely.


Sucia Island
• There is no access to Doe Island until further notice. The pilings and dock at the park were removed due to storm damage.


Sun Lakes-Dry Falls
• Deep Lake is open the last Saturday of April through Sept. 30.
Dry Falls Lake is open April 1 through Nov. 30.

Dry Falls Visitor Center summer hours:
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, May 1 through Sept. 30.

Dry Falls Visitor Center winter hours:
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 1 to 31 closed Wednesday and Thursday.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays to Tuesdays March 1 to April 30. Closed Wednesday and Thursday.
Closed Nov. 1, 2012 to Feb. 28, 2013.

Twin Harbors

Westhaven
• We are currently replacing the restrooms at Westhaven State Park. This is a major construction project that is currently underway and is impacting both parking and entrance in to the parking lot. This project is estimated to last through August, 2013. We are providing temporary restrooms on site. Due to construction and limited parking, camping trailers and vehicles over 22 feet in length are prohibited.


Westport Light
