Anderson Lake
• Lake closure: Anderson Lake is closed to all water related activities including fishing due to high levels of anatoxin. All people, pets and horses should avoid contact or consumption of lake water. The park is still open for day use.


Bay View
• Please Note: Until further notice, there is no shellfish harvesting at Bay View State Park.


Camano Island
• The trailer dump station is closed for renovation.

CLAM SEASON CLOSED: Due to an unexplained die off of clams in the Port Susan/Saratoga Passage area, Washington State Parks, in cooperation with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, has closed clam season to harvesting until further notice during the clam season at Camano Island State Park. This is a temporary measure to assure recovery of the clam population and future recreational harvest.


Deception Pass
• Cranberry Lake west beach closure: Enterococcus bacteria levels are elevated at the west beach on Cranberry Lake in Deception Pass State Park. Visitors, including young children, the elderly and those with compromised immune systems, are advised to avoid swimming, wading or playing where water could be swallowed or get into the mouth, nose or eyes when at the west beach. The swimming advisory will remain in effect until water quality improves. For more information, contact Island County Public Health at (360) 679-7350.

• Due to maintenance issues there is no moorage at Bowman Bay, Deception Pass State Park. This will be in effect until further notice.

• Cornet Bay Environmental Learning Center at Deception Pass State Park: Please note there are still reservations available for weekends in June and July as well as midweek in both months. August is completely booked up. The camp can sleep up to 186 people and charges $10.58 per person/per night plus tax. There is a minimum of 80 persons per night. There are two indoor gathering halls with full kitchens, 16 cabins and one duplex. Groups must bring all their own linens including sleeping bags, pillows and towels, and food/drink.


Dosewallips
• Please be aware: the Dosewallips River is running high, fast and cold Park staff advise avoid entering the river unless you are knowledgeable, prepared and have the capability for self rescue. Water can be deceiving and the current can be deadly.

• Metal detecting is prohibited in Dosewallips State Park.


Kitsap Memorial
• Sites 1-18 will be open on 5-17-2013. Renovation has reached completion. Special note: Site 1, 2, and 3 have power and water only, sites 4-18 have power, water, and sewer connections.

Shellfish harvesting at Kitsap Memorial State Park is closed until further notice. Clam and oyster populations have declined and are insufficient for harvesting.

The trailer dump at Kitsap Memorial is closed until further notice.


Larrabee
• Clayton Beach access closed: The access to Clayton Beach is closed until further notice, due to public safety concerns and to stop public trespass on private property. Previous access to the beach via unauthorized use of Burlington Northern Santa Fe property must be discontinued because of inadequate sight lines for pedestrians to see on-coming trains when crossing the rails to access the beach area. State Parks has plans for eventual construction of a rail overpass that will provide safe access to Clayton Beach, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe is in agreement with this plan.

• All shellfish harvesting is closed at Larrabee State Park until further notice.

• Park staff has noticed an increase in raccoon activity at Larrabee State Park. For visitor and wildlife safety, please do not feed raccoons. Keep all food secured in vehicles or in plastic containers with latches and do not leave pet food unattended.


Moran
• Moran State Park is undergoing a forest health project. The park’s primitive campground is closed until further notice.

Please note: There is no potable water at the summit of Mount Constitution. A vending machine is available with bottled water, sports drinks and energy drinks available for purchase. Hikers and bikers should plan accordingly.


Obstruction Pass
• Please note: There is no potable water at Obstruction Pass State Park. Please plan accordingly and carry your own water into the campground and beach area. Obstruction Pass is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility, please carry out all trash.


Rockport
• Campground closure: Rockport State Park is open for day use only. Due to hazardous trees in the old-growth forest, the campground area is closed indefinitely. Camping is available at nearby Rasar State Park.


Spencer Spit
• Spencer Spit State Park is open, however, is still undergoing a forest health project. Diseased trees were felled the week of May 13. Park staff are working to remove the debris at this time.


Squak Mountain
• The parking lot, southern trailhead and restroom at Squak Mountain State Park are closed until further notice due to a forest health issue. The project is expected to continue into the fall. The Squak Mountain south trailhead is closed indefinitely.


Sucia Island
• There is no access to Doe Island until further notice. The pilings and dock at the park were removed due to storm damage.
