Park overview:

Beacon Rock State Park is a 5,100-acre year-round camping park with historic significance dating back hundreds of years. The park includes 9,500 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Columbia River.

Please note: Beginning Nov, 3, 2009, the Beacon Rock Trail will be closed Tuesday through Fridays for construction work on the drainage system, trail tread and retaining walls. The work is expected to continue through November. The trail will be open Saturday through Mondays. The trail will be to be open for the Veteran’s Day Holiday Nov. 11. All other trails in the park are currently open.

Parking will be substantially limited in the lower picnic area near Hamilton Mountain Trailhead in Beacon Rock State Park from May 27 through October, during a construction project to rehabilitate a Civilian Conservation Corps-era restroom. Construction may continue beyond October. Please check back for updates to the scheduled construction timeframe. During construction, the picnic area will be served by portable toilets. Park staff encourages people to carpool and asks that large groups call the park in advance at (509) 427-8265, to learn about parking alternatives.
