Park overview:

Wenberg State Park transferred to Snohomish County Parks on July 16, 2009

In response to direction from the Legislature and Governor in the state's 2009-2011 Operating Budget, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission transferred Wenberg State Park to Snohomish County Parks and Recreation on July 16, 2009. All campground and group-use reservations made through the Washington State Parks reservation system will be honored by Snohomish County Parks and Recreation through Sept. 15, 2009.

In addition, Snohomish County Parks and Recreation will honor all Washington State Park Natural Investment Permits for watercraft launching at Wenberg County Park through Dec. 31, 2009.

Park rules
New rules apply now that the park is managed by the Snohomish County Parks and Recreation. Some of those rules and a link to information on other rules are listed below.

General
Park hours: 7 a.m. to dusk
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
Weapons and fireworks are prohibited.
Do not use hibachis and/or barbeques on table tops.
Destroying, molesting, disturbing or injuring property, vegetation or animals is unlawful.

Noise
For the enjoyment of all park visitors, loud speakers or stereo systems are prohibited.
Campground quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Motor vehicles
Speed limit is five miles per hour.
Motor vehicles and bicycles may not drive on the trails.

Pets
Pets must be on an eight-foot leash and under control at all times.
For the comfort and health of all swimmers and sunbathers, pets are not permitted on the beaches or the swim areas.
Remember to scoop! Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Please carry with you equipment for removing pet waste.
