The park is popular for surfing. An ADA hiking trail, which is actually a concrete boardwalk along the beach, connects this park with Westport Light State Park 1.3 miles away. All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are prohibited on the beach and dunes. Swimming in the ocean is not advised due to variable currents or rip tides.
Horseback riding is prohibited at Westhaven State Park, but is allowed on the beach at nearby Westport Light State Park.
A recreational license is required for fishing and shellfish harvesting at Washington state parks. For regulations, fishing season information or to purchase a recreational license, visit the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife website. |
