Hoko River State Park CAMP Implementation Strategies

In 2008, the Classification and Management Planning project (CAMP) for Hoko River State Park was completed, but implementation of the plan has been delayed due to state budget shortfalls. While making park improvements at a time when the State of Washington is experiencing deep budget reductions is a challenge, the Clallam County community has stepped forward to volunteer their time to develop plan implementation strategies.

Implementation of the strategies must be funded by sources outside the state budget. Members of the community have pledged their energy to seek grants and other financial support to carry out the strategies.
