Special Use Permits
Commercial Use Permit
Commercial recreation providers are required to register and possess a commercial recreation provider
permit in order to engage in commercial recreational use of state parks. This includes, but is not limited to,
kayak adventures, bike tours, mountain climbing expeditions and more.
Registration for commercial recreation provider permits requires completion of application forms, providing
proof of insurance and paying the appropriate fees. The fee for a commercial recreation permit varies, based on

Special Activities Permit
Permits are needed for group events such as weddings, scout troop events, company picnics, family reunions,
bicycle and foot races and community festivals. Fees for special activities permits vary depending on the nature
