Winter Recreation Sports Grant Program
The Winter Recreation Program is now accepting applications
for the 2008-2009 season. The application deadline is May 1, 2008 postmark
The Winter Recreation Sports Grant Program provides funds to create new or enhanced
services in the Washington state Sno-Park system. Funds can be used for winter recreational
purposes, including the acquisition, development, operation, planning and maintenance of
facilities and programs.
All projects become part of the Winter Recreation Program and must adhere to its rules,
regulations and policies.

Eligible grant recipients
- Any public agency
- Any private group or individual
Eligible projects
New Sno-Parks, trail grooming services, safety education and enforcement and one-time projects are
eligible. Ongoing projects in the Washington state Sno-Park system are also eligible.
Grant applications
Grant funding is available for new, ongoing trail grooming and ongoing education and enforcement
projects for non-motorized and snowmobile recreation. Please print the instructions and application
for the category applying for. Applicants may apply for more than one type of grant.
