The Table Mountain Fire area will be open for winter recreation this winter, and main routes will be groomed, except the Naneum meadow road #3530 will only be groomed down to Naneum Meadow. Below there, and up into Howard Creek the area burned extremely hot and there are many unstable snags that are expected to fall during the winter. The 3521 side route will not be groomed. The rest of the area will be open. People should be aware that snags may fall unexpectedly and in greater numbers than usual, especially during a wind. Ride as if there’s a new tree down around every corner!

12/13/2012: Now closed to wheeled vehicles. Groomed from Table Mountain as far down as Reecer had snow. Many logs to cut out, but the route is open

12/8/2012: No grooming today. Please check back for updates.
