Please obey posted signs indicating whether a permit is needed. Contact the local agency listed for each Sno-Park for more information.
PLEASE NOTE:
After periods of extreme weather, work crews may be on trails during the day to clear debris or drifts. Please exercise caution.
The Table Mountain Fire area will be open for winter recreation this winter, and main routes will be groomed, except the Naneum meadow road #3530 will only be groomed down to Naneum Meadow. Below there, and up into Howard Creek the area burned extremely hot and there are many unstable snags that are expected to fall during the winter. The 3521 side route will not be groomed. The rest of the area will be open. People should be aware that snags may fall unexpectedly and in greater numbers than usual, especially during a wind. Ride as if there’s a new tree down around every corner!
The Winter Season is here. Check back often for updates.
12/28/12: The Clear Lake SnoPark is fully operational. There are 3 distinct lots for parking that have been plowed. Trails from this area being groomed every weekday. 47 downed trees have been removed so far. There are more downed trees lurking in the further reaches of the trail system, be watchful for them. Shaler and Pole Flats trails to Naneum Ridge Road are open and the road to the radio sites is open.
12/20/12: Grooming began 12/17/2012. The weather has been difficult. The snow is fluffy and doesn’t want to pack down yet. Huge Drifts. The Official Parking Lot has been sanitized, I believe there are 3 units in there.
