***IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SNOWMOBILERS, SNOWSHOERS AND SKIIERS:
The climbing route is being closed to snowmobile users to improve safety for winter climbers, skiers and snow-shoers. Climbing permits required for everyone above 4800 feet on Mount St. Helens. Between November 1st and March 31st permits are free and available by self-registration at Marble Mountain Sno-Park and at the Climber’s Register at the Lone Fir Resort in Cougar. Between March 31 and November 1, the permits are $15.00 plus a $7.00 service charge for a total of $22.00. For information please contact the Gifford Pinchot National Forest at (360) 891-5003 or visit their website at www.fs.fed.us/gpnf.

Exception: From April 1 to 30, a Sno-Park Permit may or may not be required.

Please obey posted signs indicating whether a permit is needed. Contact the local agency listed for each Sno-Park for more information.

PLEASE NOTE:
After periods of extreme weather, work crews may be on trails during the day to clear debris or drifts. Please exercise caution.


Grooming has concluded for the 2012-2013 Season. See you next year.

Due to a major washout, the 8312 Road to the southeast from Marble Mountain Sno-Park is closed and will not be reopened.

Grooming Schedule:

Mt. Adams Sno-Parks - We run two Tucker 2000D Sno-Cats operating in these areas operated by Dan and Dwayne Webberly, and the grooming of the Sno-Parks in these areas are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and occasionally Saturday each week with specific trails based on snow pack, trail and weather conditions, and local events.

Trails will be groomed on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of each week. As conditions allow.

REMEMBER:
Grooming reports are updated when trail grooming information is provided. Reports are posted at 9:00 am, noon, 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Reports are posted at 8:00 am and 10:00 am on Saturdays. No updates on Sundays or holidays.

There are more than 120 Sno-Parks (parking lots cleared of snow) available statewide during the winter. Approximately 80 of the Sno-Parks are designated primarily for snowmobiling. Click on the above map to find Sno-Park locations in specific regions. You will find directions to snowmobile Sno-Parks and trail reports updated regularly during the winter season.

PLEASE NOTE: Trail grooming information may change without notice due to snow conditions, temperatures, equipment breakdowns, etc. For updates, please check the website regularly.

These maps are not intended as trail guides, but are provided as reference/informational publications only. The trails are not based on Global Positioning Systems (GPS). If you find incorrect information, please notify the Winter Recreation Program at winter@parks.wa.gov.
