1/11/13:The north park ski and snowshoe trails are open and in good shape. Water for some debris on the ski trails.

The lower Nason ski trail will be open and groomed for several miles (out to about the second power line) by Saturday morning. Skier access is from the Kahler SnoPark off of Cedar Brae Road. Remember, you will need a Season or daily SnoPark permit to park at the Kahler SnoPark.

We are still working hard to open the area hardest hit by the storm-the south park. We had hoped that we would have the south trails and sledding hill open by this Saturday, but it’s just not going to happen. There is still a ton of stuff to do before we can feel confident that the south park is safe to open to the public. Barring any new storms or unforeseen circumstances, it will be open by next weekend (January 19th).

1/10/13 South end will not open for another week, expected to be open Saturday, 1/19/13. North end is groomed and in good shape.

1/4: Great news! The north ski and snowshoe trails will be open tomorrow, Saturday January 5th! We are actually running a bit ahead of schedule on cleaning up this mess thanks to the tons of help we have been receiving from our State Park Arbor Crew, maintenance personnel and rangers from other area parks, a five person WCC crew, our hard working trail groomers-Fred and William, and numerous local volunteers. We are hoping to open the south park ski and snowshoe trails and sledding hill in a couple of weeks if all continues to go well.
