Cama Beach cabins

Cama Beach State Park is located on the southwest shore of Camano Island facing Saratoga Passage in north Puget Sound. Cama Beach offers visitors a chance to step back in time to a 1930s-era Puget Sound fishing resort complete with waterfront cedar cabins and bungalows which have been refurbished with modern conveniences. Cama Beach is open year round to host individuals and groups.

Cama Beach features standard and deluxe cabins situated near the beach with spectacular views of Saratoga Passage, Whidbey Island and the Olympic Mountains. For those interested, there are four pet-friendly cabins available for an additional $15 pet fee per night.

Standard cabins

The standard cabins are each 14-by-20-feet in size with a living room, kitchen area, and bedroom. The 13 beachfront standard cabins have two double beds, one in the bedroom and one in the living space, and can accommodate up to four people. The 11 second-row standard cabins have one bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin bed on the top in the bedroom, plus a double bed and a twin bed in the living space; second-row cabins can accommodate up to six people.

Cabin amenities include electric heat and lights, refrigerator with freezer, microwave oven, and sink. There is a contemporary bathhouse with restrooms and showers located directly behind the row of cabins. Linen service is not provided; guests need to bring their own bedding, pillows, towels, cookware, dishes, and utensils.

Check-in time is 4 p.m., check-out time is 11 a.m.

Capacity

Beachfront cabins can accommodate up to four guests per cabin. Second-row cabins can accommodate up to six guests per cabin. Pets are only allowed in specifically designated pet-friendly beachfront standard cabins and pet-friendly second row standard cabins. The pet fee is $15 per night.

Deluxe cabins

The six deluxe cabins are each 14-by-28-feet in size with a living room, kitchen area, bedroom, and small bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. These cabins have one bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on the top in the bedroom and a double bed in the living space.

The 14-by-28-foot ADA-accessible deluxe cabin has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on the top. This cabin does not have a separate bedroom.

Cabin amenities include electric heat and lights, refrigerator with freezer, microwave oven, and sink. All deluxe cabins are set above the beach with a fabulous view of the water. Linen service is not provided; guests need to bring their own bedding, pillows, towels, cookware, dishes, and utensils.

Capacity

The ADA deluxe cabin can accommodate up to three people. The six other deluxe cabins can accommodate up to five people. Pets are not allowed in any of the deluxe cabins.

Beachside Bungalows

Two, 20-by-28-foot beachside bungalows are available. Each boasts a good-size living room area, a kitchenette with full-size refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, and sink. Both have a bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. Each bungalow has two bunk-beds (double bed on bottom, twin bed on top); bungalow A has an additional twin-over-twin bunk bed and bungalow H has an additional double bed; both bungalows will sleep up to eight people. 

The ADA bungalow (H) has one bedroom while the non-ADA bungalow (A) has two. Linen service is not provided; guests need to bring their own bedding, pillows, towels, cookware, dishes, and utensils. The large covered front porches face the beach and Saratoga Passage.

CAPACITY

Each bungalow can accommodate up to eight guests. Pets are not allowed in the bungalows.

Reservations & cancellations

Unless otherwise noted above, reservations may be made online or by calling (888) CAMPOUT or (888) 226-7688. Reservations may be made nine months in advance of the arrival date. The rental fee and non-refundable reservation fee must be paid in full at the time a reservation is made. This holds the rental facility until 1 p.m. on the day after the first reserved night.

Group reservations of seven or more cabins can be made up to 18 months in advance by calling Cama Beach State Park at (360) 387-1550.

There is a two-night minimum stay for cabin reservations year round.

Rental notice

  • Bed linens are not provided in cabins. Guests must bring their own linens and blankets.
  • Personal vehicles are not allowed in the cabin area. Carts and wagons are available for guests to bring their belongings from the parking areas to the cabins.
  • Other than using the provided microwave oven, cooking is not allowed inside the Cama Beach cabins.
  • Pets are only allowed in cabins that are specifically designated as pet friendly. Pets are not allowed in any other cabins or buildings.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside any State facility.
  • Washington State Parks pass discounts do not apply to cabins, platform tents, teepees, vacation houses, yurts or other roofed overnight accommodations.
