Lk Easton Parcel Property Sales to WSDOT
At the July 2020 Commission Meeting, State Parks Staff is recommending the sale of a 7.92 acre parcel of land at Lake Easton State Park to the Washington Department of Transportation for use in a freeway expansion project.

Lake Newport Property to Pend Oreille County - Proposed Transfer
Pend Oreille County has made a transfer request of commission owned Lake Newport State Park Property. The county proposes to incorporate this property into their Pend Oreille River Water Trail Plan.

Lake Sammamish Design Competition
Washington State Parks is considering extensive re-development of Lake Sammamish State Park to improve recreational opportunities, restore and safeguard important natural features and functions, and develop new revenue sources to help support this and other state parks.

In October 2009 Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission approved the land-use plan for Lake Wenatchee State Park.

Larrabee State Park Management Plan
In 2016 Washington State Parks completed a land-use planning project for Larrabee State Park located in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. The planning project, also known as Classification and Management Planning (CAMP), addressed protection of natural and cultural resources, management of recreation and trail activities, and ways to best preserve and interpret the historic components of the park.

Long Beach
In March 2009 Washington State Parks completed a land-use plan for the Long Beach Area state parks, including Fort Columbia, Pacific Pines, Leadbetter Point, Loomis Lake, Skating Lake, the Seashore Conservation Area, and Colbert House properties, in Pacific County near the City of Long Beach.

On December 8, 2014 Washington State Parks Director, Don Hoch approved the finalized Interim Trail Plan. The planning effort was a follow up to the Miller Peninsula State Park Property Initial Trail Identification and Designation.

Moran Long Term Boundary Revision
On March 22, 2018 the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission approved a long-term boundary expansion for Moran and Obstruction Pass State Parks on Orcas Island, to include three properties totaling approximately 358 additional acres.

Mount Spokane PASEA Land Classification
Mount Spokane State Park is the largest park in the state park system at approximately 13,000 acres. Within the park, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission (Commission) has authorized an existing alpine ski area known as the Mount Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park that is currently operated under a concession agreement with a Spokane area non-profit known as Mount Spokane 2000 (MS 2000). The existing ski concession area encompasses 1425 acres or about 10% of the park.
