Recreational shellfish harvesting closed at Potlatch State Park
As of May 1, recreational shellfishing at Potlatch State Park on Hood Canal is CLOSED. Normally, the season is open through Sept. 15. However, we've had to close the season early this year due to the heavy harvest from sport harvesters last year.
Shellfishing information for other state parks on Hood Canal:
o Twanoh State Park is open year-round for Oysters ONLY. Clams, mussels are open Aug. 1 - Sept. 30.
o Belfair State Park is closed for all shellfish harvesting at this time. It will reopen Aug. 1 and close Sept. 30
