Trail detours in effect due to fire damaged trestle bridges
Trail detours are in effect on the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail due to several train trestle bridges damaged by fire in September of 2020.
Fire Damage to Crab Creek Trestle results in a 7-mile detour on Lower Crab Creek Road starting 4 miles East of Beverly on the West end and directly East of H Street on the East end. Signage is located at both ends of the closure.
Fire damage to three trestles between Rock Lake and Malden requires a detour onto Stephen Road to Pine City-Malden Road going through Pine City and accessing the trail again at intersection of Hickory St. and Pine City-Malden Rd. in Malden. Reverse those directions if traveling West.
If you want to access the two miles of trail from Kenova to Rock Lake, take Kenova Rd. from Stephen Rd. THIS SECTION IS AN IN AND OUT EXPERIENCE WITH NO THROUGH ACCESS.
These detours are in effect until further notice.
