OLYMPIA – May 29, 2015 – The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission and partners invite youths age 5-12 to learn how to have fun and be safe while riding bikes at the annual Bike Rodeo taking place at Pearrygin Lake.

The event is from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 13 at the east boat launch parking lot at Pearrygin Lake State Park, 561 Bear Creek Rd., Winthrop. (Directions: https://goo.gl/maps/3BkpK). Registration is free and begins at 9:45 a.m. Children participating at the Bike Rodeo will have the opportunity to:

  • Test their maneuvering skills
  • Learn new skills in effective riding
  • Test their knowledge about riding in traffic
