    Looking for a fun, educational activity for the entire family?

    There are now Nature Backpacks available for check-out at Cama Beach State Park! Each backpack includes educational materials and a set of kid-friendly tools to help young explorers learn about nature. Inside, you’ll find binoculars, observation tools, colored pencils, a field journal, books, activities and more.

    Visit us at the Cama Beach Welcome Center to request a Nature Backpack. The Welcome Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. You can borrow a backpack for either 48 hours or one week.

    The Washington State Parks Folk and Traditional Arts Program invites the public to the Summer Music and Dance Series at Cama Beach Historical State Park. The series brings music and dance to the park once a month in June, July and August. Live music and family square dances were a traditional part of 1930s summer activities at Cama Beach when the state park was a fishing resort. Performances and dances feature fiddle, guitar, bass, and banjo and experienced callers who aim to get everyone on their feet and dancing. Whether you’re staying at a cabin on the beach, or just visiting for the day, stick around and join in these fun, family friendly activities!
