Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands. Family in Nature

We are thrilled to invite families with 2-5-year-old children on an outdoor adventure to learn all about different aspects of nature around Deception Pass State Park!  Come on out to Deception Pass to join park staff in the bi-weekly program called Family in Nature.


These programs are held in partnership with the Deception Pass State Park, Deception Pass Park Foundation, and the Fidalgo Nature School. Programs are scheduled for 90 minutes and are designed with fun and highly interactive experiences for the whole family.


All programs are free to attend, though we do ask that you pre-register your family group for each program. Registration will open on the 1st and 15th of every month for each subsequent program.
