Looking for a fun, educational activity for the entire family?

There are now Nature Backpacks available for check-out at Bay View State Park! Each backpack includes educational materials and a set of kid-friendly tools to help young explorers learn about nature. Inside, you’ll find binoculars, observation tools, colored pencils, a field journal, books, activities and more.

Visit us at the Bay View Registration Station to request a Nature Backpack. You can borrow a backpack for either 48 hours or one week.

Geocaching Adventure Labs

Visit Cama Beach and Camano Island State Parks for a digital treasure hunt!

Designed similar to existing geocaching activities, Adventure Labs will guide you through the parks as you solve questions using physical features within the landscape.

To begin an Adventure, download the official Geocaching Adventure Lab app for your iPhone or Android phone and create a free account.

Join Park staff for a 20-minute talk to learn about the animals that make their home on Camano Island and at Cama Beach State Park. You could learn about bats, bald eagles, orcas, seals and sea lions, and more.

Beaver hike

Join Park staff to learn about one of our most elusive mammals, but also the one that has the largest impact on the forests around Cama Beach State Park.

Guided Hike: Is That Edible?!

Let’s learn which parts of the forest are edible as we hike, and snack, our way along the coast. Moderate, ½ Mile Round Trip. Where: Coastal Forest Loop, located near the boat launch and Cape D Store. Discover Pass Required.
