Enjoy a festival, join a fun run, tour an interpretive site, or just make your own celebration with a family picnic or camping trip. Choose from dozens of activities and events throughout the year. You can submit your state park event via email to get it placed on the calendar. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to Washington state parks and state-managed recreation lands.     Birds have special beaks and bills that help them catch and gather their food. If given the tools, could you pull worms like a blackbird or scoop algae like a duck? Join us to find out and to learn all about bird beaks and what they eat. After learning about these adaptations, stick around for the Junior Ranger program at 6:40 p.m. to create a uniquely adapted critter of your own and complete page 13 of the Junior Ranger booklet. Perfect for families with kids ages 7+.

    Run/Walk the 5K your family, friends and pets to celebrate our 10th birthday with us!! Your participation and donations will help Sankara Healthcare Foundation make healthcare more accessible and affordable to those in need in rural India. We provide nutritious plant based meals to the homeless in America through our HEAL(Healthy Eating and Living) project. We have served close to 70,000 plant based meals in shelters and touched over 12,000,000 lives in rural India.

  3. Birds & Binoculars

    Lake Sammamish is known for its incredible birdwatching opportunities. Stop by this afternoon to learn about some of the different species of birds found in the park. Create bird binoculars with us and search for common birds through a fun scavenger hunt. This program is perfect for families and youth ages 4-12.

    Learn about predators and prey and their adaptations. Take a first-hand look at animal skulls and try your hand at identifying them. This program is best suited for those 1st grade and up, but we will have coloring sheets available for younger visitors.
