Youth Art Classes at Cama Beach

Youth Art Classes for ages 6-12 hosted at Cama Beach Historical State Park on Saturday, September 20 and 27 from 10-11:30 a.m. Explore nature through various art mediums!

Stanwood Camano Arts Advocacy Commission is teaming up with Cama Beach Foundation to bring Youth Art Classes to Cama Beach Historical State Park. There will be two classes: Saturday, September 20 and 27 at the Cama Beach Boathouse porch from 10-11:30 a.m. These classes are for youth, ages 6-12, and will explore nature through various art mediums. No art experience required and all supplies will be provided. 

 

A Discover Pass is required for all vehicles in the park.

The classes will be hosted on the Cama Beach Boathouse porch. The Boathouse is located on the beach. Driving down to the beach is limited to authorized vehicles only. Folks interested in the class will park in the upper lots and have to walk down to the beach. The Cama Beach Cafe will be open so parking close to the beach may be limited. Cama Beach First Day Hike

Join the Interpretive Specialist, Meredith Peterson, and other park staff for a walk out to Cranberry Lake to get out and get moving on the first day of the year. This gentle trail leads you through the forest to a marsh ecosystem, where there is an active beaver lodge and signs of their activity along the way. Enjoy hot drinks and snacks at the drop off shelter before the hike begins.
