Event location: Fort Worden State Park
Tours are first-come, first-served and limited to 25 people. We will meet on top of Artillery Hill, next to Memory's Vault. Look for Ranger Program signs.
Have you ever wondered how the concrete structures on top of Artillery Hill were used? Are they called batteries or bunkers? Join a tour of Artillery Hill to learn the answers to these questions and many more!
Walking tours of Artillery Hill will be led by interpretive park staff. The distance covered is less than a mile, but does include walking up and down steps, and through the dark historical structures. It is recommended to wear closed-toed shoes, bring flashlights, and water. There is a vault toilet near the meeting location.
For ADA questions, visit the Park Office.
